That was owned by Kutty Noteboom of the Sinners, and I assumed he built it. What's the story on it?

John built the truck and Kutty took over and finished it . That thing is a true charmer http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif He traded it back to John for a few motorcycles and I think John may have sold it to whoever is trying to sell it now , maybe ? I don't know the whole story .

At 30 Grand it ought to go to a real nice home, like real big, with a pool and a guest house...... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hey =Mike=, thanks for the update.

I think I'm going to be out in San Diego this November, so let me know if there is anything going on.

Any time someone's cool ride pops up eBay, a bunch of people bitch about the cost. Get over it. I've never actually seen that truck up close, but there is so much work into it, it would take twice that amount of money to recreate it if you added up your hours and charged appropriately. Yeah, I'd like to buy it for $5000, but that's not going to happen. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Some guys think nothing of paying $30K for a truck off the lot, and that will look like 1.5 million other ones on the road. Ain't no mistaking La Cucaracha!

The cab is definately '56 at least if you go by the dash and the front glass.
As for price about a year or so back when the 1st Gen F100s were popular the high zoot dudes were giving 20 to 30K for about any of 'em that were pretty clean.
The Cucaracha has been worked to the max. I wouldn't want to drop that much on it but if I had the cash why not? Its a good looker.

I'm calling bullshit. I love that truck. It's super rad. But it ain't no 30k piece, that's for sure.

It's exactly what Kutty used it for: a truck. Something to haul shit in. Yeah, it's got a bunch of nifty body treatments and a great stance, but the thing has nothing for an interior, as shady bed, and I'd assume it's not mechanically perfect either.

It'd go for 8-10k if it didn't have the history. Guess that's the same story w/ everything though.

Kinda like KopperKart if it hada been a ford? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
sure helps that it was built by someone of celebrity.......
Id be suprised if it brought 12 thou under any other circumstances......
