I have received in the mail, calendar orders from the following folks as of today. I thought I'd do this so your not wondering whether I recieved the checks or not and I'll update this every Sunday nite till the calendars get here and we ship. Everyone's check amount matched how many calendars they wanted EXCEPT for the last two guys

Jay Ward: 4 calendars comes to $67.00 including shipping. You sent a check for $22.00. I can either send you 1 calendar and the $3.00 difference OR you can send another check for the $45 difference if you want the 4 calendars that you asked for.
Steve Sokol: 2 calenders comes to $35.00 includes shipping. You sent a check for $20.00. I can either send you 1 calendar and $1 change OR send me another check for the $15.00 difference if you do actually want the 2 calendars you asked for.
These 21 guys ordered a total of 52 calendars!! Thanks so much guys for supporting the HAMB.

Denise, I think some were confused by how the announcement on the calendars read. I know I made the wrong interpetation when I first read it. It said the calendars were $15 and the shipping was $4, additional calendars were $1. The $1 was for shipping on additional calendars not the price of the calendars. It was just a little confusing at least for me (I'm easily confused) but Fuelpump straightened me out (he's so smart). I was going to order 6 at that price which would have come to $25. I can't afford to buy that many at the $15 rate but you will be getting my order shortly.

Frank, does that mean your not buying all the TT calendars for Christmas?? I really think it's what they really, really want under the tree when they wake up on Christmas morning. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Sorry for the confusion. EACH calender is $15 dollars, no matter how many you purchase. Shipping for 1 calendar is $4 and an additional $1 for each calender after that. Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Unfortunantly I do not have any control over the paypal thing. I'm sure Ryan has some hind of spread sheet to keep track of it but it would be alot of work to list a couple of hundred names unless he could cut and paste.
My only thought is that the bill will show up on your credit card. If I can help Ryan out by typing up a list of those that have paid via pay pal, I certainly will.
Please tell Mrs Rocky I said "Hello" back.
Randy, Sure wish I was able to deliever it in person. I'd do it for nothin....... well..... maybe a Mauries BBQ sandwich in exchange. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif This should be the last year that I miss the Charlotte show, and miss your company. My folks are going so make sure you stop and say "hi" to them. Sure hope you have warmer temps for the show then what you've had the last couple of years. I got a line on a guy up in Flint that did the ragtop on Starliner's Grandfathers convert and is doing the interior on Roadstars 40 in a couple of weeks. I'm heading up there to see how much for a top on Big Olds. I hear he does an outstanding job for a fair price.

Denise: I mailed my check last thursday and posted that I mailed it that day on Ryans Calendar thread (Post Number 80). There have been no other posts on that thread since then. I would have thought that some other HAMBers who got off their ass and sent their payment or Paypalled for their calendar would have posted on that thread by now, but it seems to be "stuck" at 80. Where is everyone?
We have 202 paypal orders... Rocky, you are all good...

We are getting pretty close to our break even number but let's all remember this is a HAMB fund raiser. Once we past our breakeven, the HAMB gets every penny of the $$$$$ to help pay expenses so we can come in here and play.

Denise --
I sent a 51 dollar check for 3 calendars to ya last Thursday -- you should be getting it any minute now.
Will these be printed in time for Christmas?
Thanks!
Steve.
hotrodladycrusr
10-06-2003, 10:24 AM
Chuck, they have not been printed yet. Hopefully the pre-order numbers will dictate that they can start the printing at the end of the week??? We just need a handful of more orders, HINT, HINT, guys! Weather permitting, I'll see you at the Pileup but will not have calendars in hand. Wouldn't that have been cool to actually have them for the weekend. Could have sold a bunch I bet. Cash and carry, instant gratification. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Anywho, looking forward to finally putting a face to a name.
Steve, have not received it yet but I bet it's waiting for me when I get home tonight. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif And yes, you'll have them in time for Christmas, I promise http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Hey Denise, I read that you are headed into Flint to see an upholsterer, I have a couple buddies in the Flint area that do the work. What is the guys name or his business name? If it is one of my buddies, I'll put in an especially nice word for you, and hopefully they will be kind in the $$ department. By the way, I paypalled for 2 calanders, so I am in.

That would be awesome if you knew him and would put in a good word for me. I've seen his convert top work and was impressed. He is very reasonably priced from what I've been told. The prices I've gotten around the Detroit area are outragous. I was considering doing it myself but if the price I heard for a top is true, it would be too good to pass up. Plus I know it would be done correctly and look good, not that it will be seen much http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I believe his name is Gary or Greg and he's actually just south of Flint? I'll get his exact name and post it. Thanks bud

I do not know him personally, but I have seen his work. He does great tuck and roll work. I dont know if I have ever seen his work on convt tops, but I am sure that it is to the same standards as his interiors... great!

10-06-2003, 03:03 PM
Denise,
Benway is good but he is a real piece of work. I hope you get him when he is sober!
When I built my 32 everybody suggested Gary. I declined and went to a guy in Ubly. Undoubtdly Gary would have done a good job but I wanted someone a little more stable than him.
hotrodladycrusr
10-06-2003, 03:49 PM
WOW, you are the first person that has said anything negative. No one else has mentioned a drinking problem, in fact, Bill Wetstone said that when Gary says to have the car there on Monday morning, you better have it there on Monday cuz he's starting it right then and there and it's ready in less then 2 weeks and he mentioned that most of the time it's ready early. To me this means he's not only a hard worker but works in a timely fashion as well, which is important to me. I've been hearing lots of horror stories of cars in some shops for months with no work being done. That can't happen to Big Olds. I'll go slow, ask around a bit more, go meet him in person, get a quote, and go from there.
After the first of the year, I'm sure I'll make a post asking for other good top guys in the Michigan area just to compare price and quality and see if there are others out there that I need to consider.
Thanks for the heads up though, appreciate it.
Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.......

Roy Wirth: please check with your post office to make sure they won't stuff/fold your calenders to fit them into your PO box. I can either send you one calendar and a dollar change or you can send an additional $15.00 and I'll send out 2 calendars.
