Marq: Carter made super 4bbls . Do you have an AFB,or an AVS? I had a #5625AFB/ SBC 283 Chevy 2 and it was bulletproof. Installed it,adjusted it and it ran forever with no problems. Find a copy ( I'm sure out-of-print)of Dave Emanuel's "Supertuning & Modifying Carter Carburetors" published by S-A Design ISBN#0-931472-11-3. Theres everything you ever need to know about Carter 4bbls(AVS,AFB,Thermo-quad,WCFB),including tons of pictures and how-to's.I've only got one copy ,but I'd be glad to look up any info for you. Stan
Here's a WCFB...
Is it one of these?
I'm bringing it home on saturday so i will take a photo then,if you can let me know what you think and scan some info and perhaps email it ,that would be fantastic.it has an electric choke but i wondered if i can ditch that and go with a manual choke...........Marq
yeah that looks like it mutt but i cant be sure,i think the leccy choke thing is broke anyways but i dont have exhaust mani to put it on anyway as i think they work on the heat process...........Marq
