Whoo-hoo! Finally got of my ass and registered. :D Been lurkin for a while, watchin the classifieds, but no posts. Well I guess I should intro myself. My name is Jeremy. I'm a 28 yo machinist from Muskegon MI. Been into hotrods for a while mostly lead-sleds and mid 50's luxury liners. But, my heart went cold when I saw my first rusty, hammered '30 sedan. I fell hard for the atitude, the lines, and the sound of staight pipes, but I don't have one....yet. What I do have is a '48 Chev PU. Bought it clean and drivable cause I didn't have time or space for a project. Drove it for a couple months, then had a little volcanic action from the rad.:mad: Sat for a while till I got 12 bottles of courage in me and started pulling the front end apart. Now it's got IFS, a tri-bar rear, bags all around and rollin on steelies. The 235 didn't look up to the task when I pulled the head, so thats out. Now i'm lookin for a 348 to take it's place. The body is stock ,exept for '52 doors, no plans to alter it as yet, maybe shave the handles mirrors and emblems, but no chop, it's just too clean. Going for a reliable old skool driver I can drag shit I don't need home from the swaps. Lookin to hear from some other W Michigan Hambers, seeing as I am alittle short on skill, vision, tools, knowhow, well just about everything you need to build a bitchin rod, except passion!
