Got the bug again to work on the wagon.. Spent Saturday beginning to install a SPW power wiper set up. Got the factory Wiper Transmission cut (removed the pulleys) and the housing drilled to work with the SPW tranmissions (go thru the factory ones so I can use the factory underdash and outside stainless bezels.). Cut out the passenger side kickpanel metal and fab'd up a bracket with studs to mount the motor (its will hide behind a kick panel) and got it tacked in (with a buddies help) will finish up over the week I hope.. Switched gears on today and spent most of it (between watching some NASCAE) putting in a front swap bar to see if it helps with the hard lean in the corners.. after two trips to the hardware store for hardware and large drill bit its all in (test drive tomorrow after work)...

So what did you get done....

moved the last 3 P.U. truckloads of ugly furniture out of my g'parents condo Sat.

Sun. visited my friend and his family who rented a hotel room on the beach, ate seafood, drank rum.

My friends father offered me the back half of his HUGE barn (it can hold 8-10 cars easy) to work on my Ford in. have to clear it out first. He owned a Rexall drug store up til 82 and there is a bunch of funky stuff in there.

Wants me to put it on ebay. penny fortune scale, OLD register, BIG OLD lawn tractor, older Honda XR75, old signs, old tools. Too dark to see everthing, but there was stuff in there when he bought the place in the 60s. he said we could split the profits.

Not a total waste of time or brain cells. Also keeps super secret next project parts collecting from G.F.s eyes.

Went to same swap meet as Scooter but didnt see him. Scored 80 dollar turbo 350, sanderson block huggers cheap and crusty old Torker manifold, I managed to offend old guy by asking what his bottom price was on a reasonably priced manifold, thought he was gonna throw somthing at me, left in a hurry!

Entered the AHRA Reunion drags at MO KAN in two classes, Open Gas and the Street Rod shootout. Red lighted in the open gas elimination(a bracket class). Won the streetrod shootout. The old truck was faster this year(I made some changes since the HAMB drags) but I had run slower in the time trials than my competion. I cut a better light and beat the number one qualifier even though he was faster. Drove to the strip, won a trophy, drove home. Life is good.

Went to Goodguys Saturday till around 3. Came home, gutted the interior of a '64 Riviera to find (surprise surprise) rusty floorboards. Emptied the trunk of spare parts, trim, and nasty carpet to find (seriously surprise) not much rust at all. Cut Hamiltons bike into numerous pieces, went to sleep. Sunday, welded broken off seat brackets back onto the seats. Welded Hamiltons bike back together in a longer, lower configuration. Thats about it...

I built a bitchin' little oil seal press tool for my banjo axle housings, assembled the rear end, painted it, and installed the main leaf of the A spring.

Then I started installing the '32 frame horns in the front.

I want a roller by Christmas.

Took Fri off work and drove my 38 Chevy down to the rattle can nats with my wife. Had a fun day hanging out and driving in the car, when I did not run out of gas!

Thanks to those that stopped and helped with siphoning some to get me into town.

Saturday started putting the bear claw door latches in my 37 Chevy truck. Going good so far.

Finished the wiring on my modified, it now has all the gages (oil, ammeter, tach) hooked up and working. Drove the modified around town a bunch, and to work today.

WARNING O/T

Though I did screw with the hearse a little bit trying to determine the gremlin that makes the headlights inopperable and park lamps quit with pull of the switch that's probably bad...

I got a visit from the Deputy Sheriff accompanied by Children's Services on Friday night in attempt to Haras me and TERRORIZE my FAMILY!!! Oh, and to serve summons of Contempt of Court!!!! The only CONTEMPT I have is suddenly directed to the Defendant/mother(F'er) in my ongoing case to assure continued custody of my first-born child!!!! Haha, yolks on her since neither her nor her attorney can seemingly read English as quoted in THEIR OWN Motion citing Court Order's!!! Just got back from three day hunt at Carlisle swap meet, scored a dropped, drilled, and chromed axle with much patina (and spiders), an Eelco tank, a SW police speedometer, and about a cubic yard of flathead bits and books. Met and talked with lots of elderly flathead/racer people with lots of stories and tech to share.

Working on late-model truck project for the SEMA show (with Jeff Davy from Devious Customs and some help from KILLER as well). It is a 2004 Nissan Titan (it isn't even out yet) and we used all kinds of traditional trucks to get it super low. Z'd the front of the frame 3-1/2 inches, moved body mounts and channeled the body some. I know that it's not a traditional hot rod, but if you want to see it, here is a link to it.

Went to the HRR on Sunday.

Drove up Sat nite actually, and picked up a pair of '40 Ford front fenders on the way. Slept in the truck. Baked in the sun all day Sunday, but learned a few things, plus I got a supercharger from one of the racers and I got a spooled Olds third member. The only racing I watched was the last round of AA/GS where the quickest run was the TCI '37 Ford with an Alan Root Ford shotgun motor (yeeha) in the 6.70's. Yowza.

Slept in truck again. Went home via Mojave/Lancaster and didn't leave myself enough time to visit Lucy Pearson's junkyard-- but I did go to two pick-your-part yards, plus Memory Lane on the way back down. Oh, and for those who don't know, Memory Lane has a LOT of good stuff-- but hang on to your wallet, some stuff is a little pricey, but understandably so.

Got the garage cleaned up, well not cleaned up, but I moved stuff around so for the first time in years I can park my daily driver in the Garage. I already had frost on the windshield once this year, and I'm sick of cleaning the ice/snow off that thing every winter morning.
