Hi Marcus, just came in from the shop getting the final batch of polishing ready for Louisville. Getting down to the wire.

With the Firewall Coil Cover, first you mount the coil on a flat surface using a strap type mounting bracket. You usually have to trim the "legs" of the bracket that mount on the flat surface so that they're not wider that the inside of the coil cover. Then you drill three holes in the cover - one at the top (or bottom depending on which way your coil is mounted) and two on the other end - one in each "leg" of the cover, all sized appropriately for the screws/bolts you're using.

For the Battery Cover - go down to the parts emporium and pick up one of those rectangular battery hold downs that are made of ~1/2" angle and usually dipped in red vinyl. Make sure it's the kind with an ear in the center of each end that's made to capture a long 1/2-20 rod that bolts to the fender / battery box / trunk floor etc.. Install the battery hold down but make sure the rods stick up a couple inches higher than the battery. Drill holes in the battery cover to let the rod pass thru and double nut it to "suspend" it over the battery. Make sure you put something non-conductive between the battery posts and the bottom of the cover to keep it from shorting out.

Our stuff may be inexpensive, but we make sure you get to brag about how well you engineered the installation http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Take pics and you'll have a great tech article!
