Okay...I'd call these "spy photos"...but are they REALLY spy photos if, after a successfull covert photographic recon mission...it takes TWO WEEKS to get your antique film developed?
Hell, it's Old News by then...but here they are anyway...
Donzie's Chick Magnet recently returned to the streets of Michigan to wreak havock and spread the love that made it the Legendary Tub!!!

The Heart Of The Beast...
1958 Chevy 348, stock engine rebuilt to factory tri-power specs, Offy dual quad intake, two Holley 660cfm 'center squirters', Nicson scoops, Sanderson lakes style headers, magneto styled electronic distributor, chrome generator and starter round out the highlights!
All this hooked to a TH-350 tranny and 8" Ford rear axle!

Lookin' good, but I gotta say, I really think "the chick magnet" had somewhat to do with the driver too. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif It'll never be the same.
That's the motor I always wanted in it, and I even steered Tim to it. Hope it gets more road use than his modified T.

All this tub talk..... hell if I could find the rear I wouldn't mind turning the project in the shed back into some version of a tub like it was.....

348s rule, but is there any way you can put Corvette valve covers on it?

Tim (Flaw'd) had a lot of issues, originally he wanted to use manifolds with the stock covers but the steering shaft was in the way so he got the lakestyle headers and thought some finned Offenhauser covers would complete the look, but there were these tabs on the inside that wouldn't fit the heads, so rather then grind on a set of $200+ valve covers he just used the stock covers. He's just happy to have it back on the road again, at this point.

Here is proof positive that Donnie's is a chick magnet. I think that one recognizes that back seat http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Dude, that is just wrong... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I heard he had to put a lowering kit on the seat to be able to see thru the windshield... most people when they sit in the seat look right at the bar across the top of it... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Something about the previous owner having the seat brackets way up high so he didn't have the telltale stack of phone books to see over the wheel... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Just kidding Donzie, it's still the first hot rod I ever drove, even if it was just from your barn to the road. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Looking good!
