Hate posting off topic things but this was interesting.

My info@industrialchassisinc.com and steve@industrialchassisinc.com Email accounts have been bombarded with spam mail over the last few weeks. It has started to slow down to just a few a day but I just got one that was sent from Fonze. Maybe you computer savy guys could shed some light on this..

message was:
Subject Re: Administration

Body: Bad Gateway: The message has been attached

and the attached file is: data_steve.txt.zl9 (29.6KB)

This is similar but not exactly the same as the others I have recieved. I did not open any of the attachments, some have sent links that while look like they are attached to my server, when I check the properties of them they are linked to some other site with a bunch of symbols and numbers.

HELP!

Definately sounds like some sort of Virus.
Probably not on Fonzi's computer, even though it looks that way.
It got his address from someone elses address book,or off his site.

Some of these messages look seriously legit,
definately do not open any of the attatchments.
Notice how the attatchments come in 2 or 3 common sizes ?
If the attatchment doesn't end in jpg, bmp,or Octet Stream,I won't open it.
Doesn't matter who sent it.Delete all that Shit.

Unfortunately,I don't have a solution for you.

Thanks Ian, to my knowledge I have never Emailed Fonze. He is not in my address book. I am pretty sure my computers are clean, been running AVG anti-virus software and kept it all up to date. Even checked for spyware tools and cleaned out a few things but nothing too serious.

Just wondering if anyone else may be getting the same thing. It clicked when I saw a HAMB name pop up in the sender line.

That's what they are counting on,a familiar name gives instant credibility to the "message".
