3 Spd. Tranny

When the time comes, i would like to put a ford manual trans in my T,
I was thinking maybe a 3 spd. What are some designations and part #'s
I should be looking out for? It will most likely be hooked up to a
flathead 8.

I think a T-85 is one of the more common Ford manual 3speeds. I am now using a toploader 3 speed from a 67 Ranchero in my 55 and the consensus is that it'll take a beating and ask for more.
