View Full Version : Alot of the post pics not showing

I have noticed the new posts lately which have a pic that is linked is not showing on the threads. It doesn't seem to be a linked server problem because a box with an X doesn't appear. Just no pic when the poster refers to a pic in his message. Is it just my computer or are others seeing this?

I am still finding this problem. One example would be this thread hamb post pics (http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB1&Number=112211&page=0& view=collapsed&sb=5&o=14&fpart=1)

Those pics are linked using Starblvd.com. A lot of folks on here use that picture hosting site to save Ryan some bandwidth/file space. Every once in a while Starblvd goes blank with the pics and therefore won't show up anywhere else they're linked to. It's usually only momentarily.

Try going back to those threads you were looking at. Chances are, the pics will be working.

This crap has been driving me nutso this week. Through a bunch of reading and messin around I have found that if you click on the view menu at the top of the page, then go to encoding and click on it, then click on western european(windows) it will prolly straighten out. My problem here is I cant get it to retain the windows setting. I have to set each time I refresh a page which is a real pain in the patoot! All this came after an update to the windows 6. sp1.
I hate computers but I sure missed mine when it was down. Hope this helps and if anyone knows how to keep the encoding setting, please speak now. Back to the garage! dusty

Just for the "for what its worth" page, I downgraded to IE 4.01 and everything works great. I know there a lot of good features Im missing out on but I have spent waaaaay to much this past week trying to get this pos working. Hope the info helps.

Has anyone come up with another way I can view some of these pics without downgrading to another Internet Explorer?
I am really getting tired of missing out on some of the pics. thanks
