Yeah, I'm a little confused, did you take the good looking A body off and put the patina'd deuce on there?

As pathetic as it may sound, I envy anyone with workspace now more than ever. All this time outside of Work I could be finishing prep work on the truck, I'm trying to arrange alternative places to work on it, now that the neighbors and the city have said Not Here. Sheee-it.
I did make headway towards mudflaps, though. With the truck bed off, am making a homemade mudflap setup for the meanwhile. Man I wish I had a garage.
Nice coupe, guys! What's been the main focus of yer work, this weekend?

To answer some of your questions so far. Low-n-load, the A body went to a long time close friend who has been trying to put a car on the road for years. Finally he is almost there now that he has a really nice body to go with. Deyomatic, The only reason the A body came off was because I found this 32 in your neck of the woods that was in my price range. If I had not found this body the A would have stayed together. The body went to good home and should be on the road in about 1 year or so. The deuce is going to try and be up there for goodguys in Phnx. Humboldt Cat, on tap for today is starting to square the body and begin the patch work. Metalshapes is helping out alot with everything. We both work alot togehter and built him his new shop truck. Hopefully soon hambers will see pics of that as well.

yeah, the A body found a new owner, a new frame, and a big ol' Hemi engine. ( some assembly required )
Me and Ron will get him to join the HAMB, so it will stay a HAMB car.

Congrats, you guys are finally moving on getting your cars swapped. We could use another crusty Old Pueblo denizen on this board!
I cannot wait to see the truck and the new/old body on the road.
FYI Ron, I am still finishing up the rear for the 1954, new drums and some hardware... I am looking for emergency brake arms for the 1968 8inch you gave me as the 1954 arms will not work with it. Then in goes the drive train (still tossing up the idea of a 351W or the Olds power).

Well a small update. Metalshapes and myself cut the body in half and began to square the body front to back. Holy crap was this 32 bent up, and we both suspect that the car is built from two different cars. Got the firewall and front cowl almost lined up and hung some doors on it to see where we are at. Lots of measuring now and maybe some more cutting. Counted all the bullet holes and found 227. So I think the name of the car is now the 227 Bullet coupe. Hopefully Metalshapes G/F can post some pics when we make some more progress. For all of you that do not know or have not seen Metalshapes work, he is by far the best and most skilled sheetmetal/hot rod builder on the plant and I have learned mountains of info and skill from him. Thanks Metalshapes for all of your hard work and viva la hamb.

Too bad that euro car he brought back from California could not be put on here.
A before and after post on that auto would really showcase EXACTLY what Alex can do.. especially with hand forming aluminum.

Thats OK Droog, we will post some pics of your car instead, when I chop the top.
I have not started on the Zagato yet, me and the owner are still collecting parts.
BTW, I'm driving the Truck now.
