There was a great feature on a little heads-up dragstrip in Arkansas. It had some cool old home videos of the track back in the day. It looked like a really cool place.

I just finished watching it. What a cool old timey drag strip. I hope some of the HAMBers have been there and can tell us more about it.

I like the blown motor and spin into the wall... the picture of the Willys gasser was great..

You gotta love the owner. He is the textbook definition of a breeze-shooter. It take balls to stand on the big end of the track. I only saw two chicken wire fences to keep cars in. It looks like aot fun though!

Yea they ran taht episode a couple of years back. It's in Paragould and I believe the blonde headed guy is from there. George Ray's is the place.

I saw that too, pretty cool bit of drag racing history. Looks a little spooky to be a spectator though. I think they did a write-up on that track in Hot Rod a few years back.

Yea, pretty cool place, too bad its only an 1/8 mile though.

Did you notice that the guy in the Chevelle that spun out wasnt even wearing a helmet!

Yes it was done in Not Rod a while back,it featured a replica Dodge AFX car doing a brutal burnout down George Rays track i also dug that dudes 3? chevy coupe he had for years and had gone through many alterations.

I saw that episode also and something was familiar about it that I couldn't put my finger on until someone mentioned the Hot Rod Mag story. My wife painted me a picture that I showed her from that issue
