It was a pretty good swapmeet. I bought a few things I didn't know I needed. Most of the items I bought were less than $10.00. I bought two matching Carter one barrel carbs, for $1.00 each, from two different guys. I got three different tail lights that are pretty cool. The big ticket item I bought today was a 26 Ford coupe body, with doors, and deck lid. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif I picked up a few other things too. Not a bad day. Dean

I talked to Weeds the other day and he said he was going. I imagine TrailerEd probably went too.

i was there.

and weeds (& the lovely mrs. weeds).

and zor.

and trailer ed and his dad.

dean, sorry i missed you. i figgered you'd be there so was on the lookout for you.

also looked for raven61 and kcmongo but didn't see either one of them.

i didn't buy one car part. bought a couple of vise-grip welding clamps, an engine balancer (to use with an engine hoist), and a small vise. didn't need any of it, but can't go to a swap meet without buying anything can you? actually, a couple of guys told me that once i use the engine balancer that i'll wonder how i ever installed or removed an engine without one. and you can NEVER have too many welding clamps. i've also got a half dozen or so vises around my shop and it's really nice to have a smooth jaw vise and a "gripping" jaw vise next to each other. that way you can use the appropriate one for whatever you're doing. my biggest one of each kind are on adjacent corners of my welding table sitting at 45 degree angles to the table. don't know how i got along without both of them.

Did you buy that T coupe from a guy with a braided pony tail, it may be one of my old body`s.

Yes, that's the one. He dropped it off today. Not bad for a Missouri car. Dean

The T-coupe guy sounds like Sonny. He seldom misses a swap meet..

No, it`s Leroy (Punky) Stiers, my cousin. I dont know if it`s one of my old bodies or not...I had to work this weekend so I didnt get to see it.

Looks like there`s going to be a few T coupes running around Missouri!

I didn't make it out to the swap.
I had a friend over in the garage so I could help him weld some stuff for a project of his. It took all day. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
KCMongo told me he was going to try and stop by on the way back from delivering some parts but I don't know if he made it.
ANybody see any aluminum low-back 'sprint car' seat?
I still need one.

[/ QUOTE ]I didn't see any 'sprint car' seats. There were some fiberglass ones there, but they were the kind you always see. I did see two 54 Chevy truck deluxe heaters though. Didn't you need one? There was another set of Radar wheels there, 14". I don't remember the lug pattern. I know who has them if you're interested, I can make a call. I think the Sedalia swap is one of the best around here, for a small swap. You can't beat Woodlands though. Dean

the 14" three-rib radirs were either 4 3/4" or 5" lug pattern. if they had been 5 1/2" zor would be taking them back to south carolina with him. i also remember that they weren't 4 1/2".
