New to the MB, but have heard and read a lot of good things about on other forums. Am looking forward to paticiapating.
Little about myself. I retired in August '07 as an Engineering Manager from the Boeing Company. I am now doing what I have always wanted to do but just did not have the time: fishing and working on my cars.
I have a '53 Corvette Replica and a '63 T'Bird Hardtop.
I have been working on the Vette off and on for three years. It is a Lone Star Classics body on an highly modified '80 G Body chassis. Power train is a 405 (400+.020) SBC (lots of goodies) through a "Gangster" 700R4 and 3.42 rearend to 255/50/17s. It is dropped 4" in the front and 2" in the rear. Built strictly as a "resto-mod" roadster. Vette purest snobs would tar-and-feather me.
Bought T'Bird back in August and have been devoting most time to her. resto-mod updates/updates being (current plans) limited to installing A/C, larger alternator, wiring, HEI, lights, starter, paint, etc.
