Anyone ever use any of their stuff? Oil stabilizer or tranny fix? I always play with the little display they have at the auto-parts store, the one with the little wheel you spin. Aside from keeping me entertained while the counter guy is fetching whatever I'm looking for, anyone ever use any of their stuff?

I use the oil stabalizer in my 66' BSA engine and tranny. Its a loose old motor and I can tell that the tranny shifts a little better with the Lucas in it. Its good stuff in my opinion but I'd say it is best left to well used engines etc.

I've used it in my motor oil on past vehicles I've owned. Good stuff.
A word of warning, though. Years ago, my Dad had this kid bring in an S10 w/ a locked motor. We pulled it down, & the thing was literally glued together. It had started knocking, so the kid poured some Lucas in it. Next time it needed oil, he just added more Lucas. That kept on 'til almost the whole crank case was full of Lucas. It was so thick, it froze the motor up. So the moral of the story is- use it in moderation...
I do the same thing with that counter display! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif
I ran it in the flatty in the Rocky33 and it really helped tighten up that old motor.
I use it in my 93 caprice with +113K. I really think it runs better now. I have yet to add it to my tranny though. I will definately add it to my nailhead.

I've used it for afew years now!..........it seems to work well in the hot rod and my daily driver. Good luck!
It's nice to see the oil works better than the wiring in my old Austin http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I haven't used the engine or tranny products but I do use the high-performance synthetic limited slip oil in my differential. It's more expensive than some of the other products but seems to work just fine. BTW...I play with the display wheels too, good gimic for demo'ing their product.

That counter display is either really entertaining or I am just too easily amused.

One man's opinion, I read all the stuff on his site before I tried Lucas, and I'll tell you this, I'll never not use it again, in any of my vehicles, I like it, it works, 'nuff said

I picked up a bottle of tranny fix-do I use the whole bottle with the already full tranny, or do I need to remove some tranny fluid first?
Thanks!

I have their oil stabalizer, power steering stop leak, AND gear oil in the poncho and it's all worked like clockwork. Haven't used the tranny stuff yet, but I expect good result. The power steering stuff kicks ass. the pump would drain completely over night, and it hasn't leaked a single drop since I put that stuff in it.

I use it a good bit, but only when necessary. It makes a good assembly lube so I always have a gallon of it sitting around. I had a Mistsu truck that clattered like mad when you would start it when cold, the Lucas did the trick. My 400M in my truck has little oil pressure so I add it when needed, though I am probably getting past the 60% mark, I don't want a sticky engine! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
It's probably one of the better snake oils I have used.
