i am looking at getting a couple of 2 gallon "moon" style fuel tanks from "mas racing products" but they dont have a website or email address in there ads.
i have a mate who has a 57 chev wagon with a 392 hemi in it sitting at a yard in glendale, california, waiting to be loaded into a container within the next 2 weeks so the frieght will cost me nothing.
has anybody delt with these guys? or no of a email address i can contact them on, or will i have to phone them.
1 tank is for my t tudor and the other is for my mates willy's.
the reason we are looking at there tanks is the price,$74 with brackets
any help appreciated

I just ordered one of their 'glass bodies for a friend (Payment on a welding job) and they seem nice. The guy even told me that if I bought the insert for seats they slip it inside the body to save me on the shipping, they did a great job of informing me but not making it seem like they were pushing me to buy the insert.

No E-mail.

When I get the body I'll let you know how things went. I should have it by this Friday. So far I'm pleased (but it is very early in the deal).

By the way I would not have bought it if I heard anything negative about them and they have been in the biz for a while now.

Mas products has been a good one for me .
No email , make sure they have it in stock before you order.
I have ordered tanks from them before and was pleased. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I got one of their tanks.
I like it.

An interesting side note:
I asked for a catalog when I ordered my tank. Well, they put one in the package for me and I was reading it soon after taking delivery of my new tank.....I flipped to the tank section and got real pissed off. The prices in the catalog were a WHOLE lot cheaper than in real life......This perplexed me for a few minutes, until I flipped to the front cover and noticed the catalog was printed in the 1980's.....SHEEEESH!
Don't ask for a catalog.... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

your right about the catalog, they burn ya on that.
I ordered a grill shell from them & got alittle bit of a run around.I think its a small operation so you have to be patient with them.
There bodies are not that great, but the price is, so alittle "tweekin" & they look good.

Yes, the catalog is the same as 1983, I find it a fun read! The tanks are very nice, a little courser finish than a Moon but nice anyway.

Tman is right about the coursness.
They are pretty rough to the touch, but I just took mine and sanded it down a little with like 600 grit sand paper....(maybe it was 1000 grit???)...
anyhow sand it with some FINE sandpaper and then buff it a little with a buffer and you will have one smooooove tank.

Good luck.

I think MAS itself is stuck in the mid 80s. Their storefront is a loading dock in the back of a warehouse, and they are kind of low-brow and old fashioned. Most of their products like axles and such are made in-house. Dave

Chopper, AKA john Katsanis (John's R&C, Berwick Victoria) has used a couple of MAS products, and to my awares he has been happy with them.

email him www.kustoms@bigpond.net.au or info@kustoms.com.au

He nay be able to shed some light on them from an Aussie's prospective.

My father in law bought a tank for his '56 Nomad from MAS,cheap enough and it looks great.Their front axle kits look tempting too.
