Hello all. I'm Jess. Hotrodladycrusr and Malcolm have been patiently pushing me to do an intro, so here goes....

I've been around cars and racing my whole life. My family has raced landspeed at Bonneville since I was six years old. My dad and I have been working on a 1933 Ford 5-window coupe and are beginning to show some real progress.

http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj213/jessiemack66/Coupe%20Progress/056.jpg (http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj213/jessiemack66/Coupe%20Progress/056.jpg)

We have been able to show daily progress lately, so hopefully we can keep up with our goal dates and get this coupe on the highway!

Hey, looks like peer pressure isn't such a bad thing afterall. Thanks!

Welcome, Jess! :)

It's great to have ya here - you're gonna love it.

Can't wait to have you 'n' your dad join us on the road this Spring/Summer. There'll definitely be some good times, I guarantee it!

It was cool to help you guys out a little on the coupe last weekend. I'll try to make it down there again soon!

...first post, and already an Alliance Member. How cool.

Thanks guys. Here are some photos from a few years ago. My dad bought this body the year I was born. He stored it in the attic of the shop until we got it down maybe six years ago.

Hi Jess! It's nice to finally see you here on the HAMB after hearing so much about you. The board track racing display at the museum looks amazing, I can't wait to see it.
It is really great you and your dad have a project together, you are very lucky.
Your dad seems like a great guy. I've talked to him a couple times about my Rajo conversion that Speedy Bill has one of too.

I'm sure we'll meet up somewhere this spring or summer. Keep up the good work and post pics.

Welcome to the HAMB!:D

For the bench seat, we actually figured out what type of mini van to look for at the junk yard due to some links Malcolm sent me from the HAMB. Some great thinkers listed out widths and heights of seats for coupe and roadster projects.

Jess great to see you on here. The few times I've had to talk to you and your Dad you seem like great people and the perfect fit for this place, ( despite your affillation with Malcolm ) especially with your deep rooted racing history. Car looks awesome, keep us posted. Gary

I can't thank everybody enough. You've all been very gracious to my dad and myself. The HAMB is quite the family.

I'm starting to be able to cross reference screen names with faces from Malcolm's party and Denise's great photos of that party.

I was so nervous to introduce myself. Thanks again all, for making me feel welcome.

Welcome lady, glad to see ya here. But admitting that you know 'Denise' and 'Malcolm', won't do much for your reputation. hehehehe Actually it does, they are both 'quality' folks. That says alot about what they think of you and your dad. The coupe looks great. And remember, you don't have a thing to be nervous about, that is until you come down for Roundup and hang-out with the Torques.......then I'd be nervous..............
Looking forward to meeting you.

Jess, he's not kidding....last night, in below freezing temps, we we're out cruzn in his roadster, stopping at a couple of different places to check out cool cars. You've GOTTA come here and visit, we'll show you some great stuff.

Not sure if you've seen the interior in Big Olds yet.......

I would love to go to the round-up and meet you and everybody else. Whether the coupe will be taking us there depends on a bunch of different things. We got some work done on the doors last night:

http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj213/jessiemack66/Window%20and%20Doors/067.jpg

And we're working on the steering column:

As long as we're able to keep this pace, it might be done in another six years!

Hi. No, not the typical girl at all. But I wouldn't want to be. I wouldn't be able to keep my nails nice anyway. Too much grease and grime in this great project!

Hi Jess: I don't remember being introduced to you. I have known your Dad for quite a few years. I just found out your project was on this site. I think it is real cool you are building a car with your Dad!! You definately have a great teacher. ( and I bet he thinks he has a great student as well). I'll keep watching your progress.. Robspierre
