I was advised that it was a good idea to introduce one's self.

A link on draglist.com brought me to the HAMB Drags flyer and on to the message board. We play with hot rods and drag cars in what's known as Hog Mountain. It's 30 miles northeast of ATL. The usual deal is Saturdays, 8-3. At 3 we drink beer and talk hot rods. If the beer starts too early, productivity and quality go downhill fast. We try to avoid that.

The ride is a '32 3 window. It's an old center steer drag car. Just trying to find a place to race and have agood time. There are some pics on www.autoimagery.com (http://www.autoimagery.com) . Look under the nostalgia comp class at Bowling Green. A link to one is below.

Welcome Dave, nice car. Is it steel or glass? There was a rail that ran with the same name in New York in the early 1960's, restored now and running vintage events.

hey hog mounting dave! i've never mounted a hog, but back when i was younger, we rode hogs on my neighbors farm, that was plenty difficult enough for us, i imagine mounting one takes some real finesse! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Velkommen Dave, I have seen pics of your car before, are you planning on the HAMB Drags? You do know I roast a Hog?

I just found out about the drags yesterday. It's too early to tell if I can get there or not. If I do it will be one of those drive all night deals.

If I make it I'll find your pig. Thanks.

37kid,

Thanks for the props from you and everybody else. It's always good to hear it from folks who "get it".

The body is glass except for the sides of the hood. I stole the name from a '68 Dart street car that was in my neighborhood around 1970. It was also on the nose of a WWII bomber and a gay australian dance group.

We have fun with it.
