I finally got my camera sorta working..at least got the pics off of it. Here's the scallop work on the olds since it may never make it back to a tues. night thing. this is a pic before we readjusted the top line. It was too flat for the curve of the top of the fender. We did it on 4th july weekend and couldn't get fine line masking tape so we used some crappy pinstripping decal.

Update for the Goldsmobile, AKA Bono-wagon, AKA Oldsmobubble, AKA Granny Golds - Getting an insurance check, car is not totaled, but probably not enough to repair satisfactorily...plus this rare 65 Skylark GS has been calling me - I mean, a freaking 4-spd!

As for the story, Denise, after we lowered my baby Golds, we went for a little test-drive around the block. Unluckily, the shop we did it in is located in BoredCopsville, TX, so we got pulled over by, what, 2 or 3 cop cars and all of us frisked - I think Elrod enjoyed himself, because I think he was trying to offer the cops his beer to get a party started - all for a busted tailight (still not fixed by the way, got a funky grounding problem). A week after that, I got rear-ended driving to Richland by an F-250, thus I may have to pull the plug on the Golds. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
