Howdy,
I am new around here and will soon do the intro thing and post pics of my newly finished 32 pickup and a lovely junkyard found 59 chrysler...but for now I have a question:
I am repainting (and moderately restyling) my 64 olds drop top and I need to put in new rubber at the tops of the doors. The stuff that keeps water from rolling down into the doors and swishing like beach waves when I drive...
Anybody know of a source for semi-generic, cut to fit stuff that will work. This is no resto so I don't care what it was originally meant for, just something that will work.
Thanks in advance...

there is nothing designed to keep water out. those are designed as a dust seal and nothing more. if you have water sloshing then go to the bottom of the door and clean the weep holes or you can even drill some drain holes. I don't screw with small holes I drill at least 3/8 inch so they don't get filled with leaves or what ever crap you have inside the door. take the panels off and check it out

Have to agree with you on the "water out" thing. Got stuck out in a good storm once and the water would blow up the windshield and right past the roof seal. I was soaked to the bone by the time I got home. May need new top rubber, but I think I'll just skip the rain, new rubber is expensive!
