We installed a new exhaust with a cocktail shaker muffler... It has a bit more backpressure now... Runs better with it. And it has a beautiful sound! Little less noisy too. Better for my buddy when rides behind me.
I don't know if I like the looks better than the drag pipes or not... The bends are beautiful though. Had to move the (ugly Dutch) numberplate to the right. And the light is a bit higher...

That looks nice. How does that exhaust sound? I have never used that style.
And what is your tail light from?

Dutch...the bike is KILLER...perfect in my eyes. Hope you don't mind me posting this pic. None of my triumph projects are close enough to finish this summer, so I started on this BSA...trying a converted swingarm to rigid look...kinda short...but whadda ya think?...I really respect your work and thoughts....hatch

Of course I don't mind you posting pics!! I like to see as many bikes as possible! That BSA looks bitchin' already!
I love that peanut tank... I hope I can find a cool one at the Long Beach cycle swaps in October.
I went for the longer look on my bike, but I really like the short look too. That pre unit from England, the orange one, looks awesome!
Oh, the tail light... It's a Model A light. Stainless steel from Speedway Motors for 20 bucks.
These pipes sound, well... I think, a bit more like an origial bike. But a bit louder.

I would have to say that you have (in my opinion) pretty much the perfect Triumph. Simple and clean. Thanks for posting pics all the way through your buildup as well.

Long bikes are a pretty new deal, didn't come in until the 70s
Your Beeser is cool, it will look a lot more "trad" than most

That was our plan eventually and, it will be done some day...
Gold flaked seat and frame. Black peanut tank with -the same color- gold flaked scallops and white outlines.
And thanks big time for the compliments!

Hatch - I considered doing the very same thing to my Norton. It doesn't look as bad as I thought it would judging by your pic - I thought it would look more boxed out at the bottom where the frame comes up to the swingarm.
Seems easy enough to fab both sides though - just gotta fab a set of axle plates too...

Nope... It's a very old Norton H16 oiltank. We only made the brackets which are welded on to it...

Looks good!
That pipe does look differnt... I think it is one of those things where it'll grow on you as time goes by.
As for Hatch... I sure wish you'd post MORE pics of the things you're doing... either on Dutchman's posts or on your own... the BSA looks good! I like the short look!

I really LIKE the look- but I got a question...is it easy on ya or cramped to ride with the center pegs?
Cant beat the look that the extra length in the Hardtail afforded......

It's pretty easy for me. I'm just a small guy. I don't even slip off the seat and sit against the fender.
