Well I'm new to the HAMB, but I'm an old hot rodder. I've built 9 cars in my second childhood of the last 30 or so years. I played with cars in my first 30 years, but can't really say I built them. Anyway the last one finished is a 35 Hupmobile I completed in June. It was a 4 dr (Hupp didn't make any 2 dr sedans in 35) I shortened it 6" and made into a 2 dr. I'll attach a few pic's and a couple of the 48 Studebaker convt in finished in 2001. I still have the Hupp and Stude. I always sold the others in order to do the next one. I enjoy this site and am impressed with much of the workmanship and innovation. I can't say I do everthing traditional, but I like the look. I'm rather fond of the late model powerplants; I had several flatheads when I was young, mainly because I couln't afford the Chevy V8's. I still like the sound and look of the early motors, but it's hard to beat the performance/dollar of the late model stuff. The next project is underway. It's a 51 Ford wagon. I've put an s10 clip under the front and will do air bags as I've done on the Stude and Hupp. That's it for now. Iv'e got a project car for sale in the classifieds-a 51 Nash Rambler wagon if anyone is interested. Oh yeah, I'm in the Sacramento California area. Gary
