Well I just got back from a horribly tense trip. My mom called me to check the news. there was a warehouse fire in Rowlett. Same town as the warehouse the guys in the family share. Well whaddya know those burning warehouses are on the same street. CRAP! same block of the same street. Dad and I just hauled ass to check it out. We were lucky this time. It was 2 rows away from ours. We have my '67 gto, '49 ford, '78 parts truck and my family's '73 xke, '66 corvair and most our tools all crammed in there. Not to mention some prestine T bodies http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif .
I know some of you have lost cars and businesses this way and now I got a little taste and it sucks. The whole ride there was gut-wrenching. I can't afford insurance on all the cars I have so I would have just lost 'em. I don't ever want to have to make that trip again.

Phew... I need a tylenol.

Nope, you need some kind of fire supression system or insurance. Think of how bad you'll feel if it does happen now.

Fire supression?

You could put a hamock up in the rafters and put Will in it with a bucket of water and a connection to the internet...he never gets up much anyway from what I hear and he could use the job http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

hahaha...Fireman Willy. nice.

I was telling Byron, those like-new T bodies could have been completely unscathed by the fire, but probably would be trashed anyway since they'd fit in so well! Thank god your garage didn't get torched though. Fire is a nasty bitch!

I was worried about Tyler's wheely Kart of Doom. That would be a huge loss!!!

I'm glad that your space was ok man! Sucks that you had that scare!

My good friend had a warehouse in which he and his buds stored all their toys. It contained a 59 Caddy coupe d'ville, 40 something Packard, several 67-69 Camaros including a mint RS/SS convertible with only 16,000 orig miles and a 30ft Scarab offshore boat with two brand new big-blocks which had just been installed.

An arsonist lit the place next to them. The Scarab had over 70 gallons of fuel on board. Needless to say, there was not a damn thing left.

Most of it uninsured.

Makes insurance premiums look cheap, huh?
