Still having Electrical problems..Help Please...

Ok..well I got rid of the GM ballast resistor wire and just have an external resistor on the firewall..I just tested the voltage in to the ballast 12.5V thats fine, but coming out only 1.75V!! ...Could it be the resistor is the incorrect OHM? theres nothing else it can be???? what am I missing here??

random testing of various ballast resistors got me 1.6 ohms and .8 ohms,try that-george

BTW I'm using an NOS Mallory Voltmaster coil

hooked up a new coil i had sitting around and got 4.5V out..That Mallory coil was fucked!!

the mallory coil might be a internal resister coil,(for a ford) check it without the external resister & see what you get!
