I think that is the guy who has been selling a lot of cast stuff on eBay in the past - from what I heard, questionable quality on the castings, but I have never bought/seen one.
It may not be the same guy, but worth checking out...
He was selling some poor quality flathead head covers too - all his stuff is cast in Mexico. He may have found a better foundry & his stuff improved, but...

yeah... I've heard the Mexico stuff was kinda crappy too...
maybe he's figured it out better by now..??
I dunno....
p.s.- Mike, I know I lag, but have you found a 235 intake..?
Do I not need to have this nagging 'I'm letting him down'
feeling keep haunting me when I can't sleep at night..??
Please let me know... email or PM me if you want to....
Later, Snacks....

Framedragger was working on repops of these things if I'm not mistaken.
Maybe he'll chime in.

Oh shit, now you've done it...called someone's baby ugly!
I agree, these are not my favorites either but there is a price to be paid for being "traditional".

I saw Mike's "Framedragger's" product at the LARS and it is a work of art.!
The castings are perfect and the two badges look as good a quality as mint silver dollars.
They take a DOT legal Snowmobile headlight and he has copyright to the E & J logo so other's can't run an exact copy, legally anyway.

Anyone seen Street Rod Builder Magazine from June 2004...
It has an article on restoring E&J's.

That's funny...personally, I'm holding out for the Ruxton style headlights to make my car "different". http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Seriously, if someone thinks they are the shit, then great and enjoy. I'll probably have something on my car that will make people scratch their heads, but that is okay, I built the car for me, not you. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

The Ebay stuff is well known "weld it yourself" quality http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif. Notice his auction ended early...
We own the rights to the real deal...
We are moving pretty f'n slow right now... but quality takes TIME http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
We are only making 549 Sets for the world (on a $40k Mold).

Mike: there's E&J repops being sold in OZ. Are you shipping them here or are they copies of yours?
Those pictures suck...
I've seen them in person, (even fondled one..) and they are like the Faberge egg of headlights.
They are first class! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Peddro, No they are not ours... (we get a lot of inquiries from your area though...) I have heard that as well...

Mike: it'd be worth checking into since I believe that the US-Australian free trade agreement means that US patents apply in Oz and Australian patents apply in the US....maybe for the first year or so.

Peddro, We're talking trademarks here (which we do defend pretty strongly), but I'm not sure if the international laws are as strict. Maybe I should check into it...
I have never seen his, but nothing makes me sicker than seeing the Edmunds & Jones name and logos associated with stuff that is poor quality...
Good Idea...

Well, I don't know if these copies are poor quality, but if they're going be sold as E&Js, then they should be the genuine article.
I don't see it any different to rip-offs in Asia being made to short-cut genuine product in Australia....in this case, it's just substituting Australia for Asia.
But then, maybe it's just coincidental timing!! I hope so.

KustomBuilder, you must not check out my chest too often cuz I wear FrameDragers company's t-shirt all the time and it has a big 'ol E&J headlite smack dap in the middle.
He should probley design a females version with TWO headlites on it. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

So what did I miss? I was checking your website a lot but I hadn't been back in a while. You've sold 70 sets so far and are getting another run of 50 - or do you have those in stock right now? I'll sacrifice surplus parts to Ebay if I can get a set by the HAMB drags.
