I'm sure a bunch of you guys have seen some of those motorsickle pipes that bend and go way the hell up there. well i was thinkin of doin that on a channelled roadster with a mile high shifter, have the header tubes run out the sides and the pips connect right before the door then run em straight right below the door and right before the rear tire they swoop up about 6 feet....just an idea and a dream lol. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Six feet?!? Sorry man, I don't like it. It would look like a Peterbuilt! You could run the exhaust the length of the body like it was done in the prewar years. Not exactly 60's cycle style, but wild enough fer me. From one new guy to another-welcome to the HAMB.

Not my thing...but Mike Harrington (Buick59) did a story and shoot on "The Mercury Kid" who had pipes like you describe. See Ol' Skool Rodz #5.

A friend of mine in PA has a 'T' with a flattie and pipes similar to what your saying, although not 6'..
His dump just above the front of the turte deck if i remember correctly.
It was featured in Car Kulture Deluxe, i think it was issue #6..

His are pretty cool, but like i said, the're not 'in your face' so thats all you see. Just a nice, different touch.

Sketch this out. I'm having a hard time picturing what you are envisioning that the pipes look like from the engine to the rear.

Here are three that aren't quite as extreme as you're proposing, but may help stimulate the ol' creative juices. Hope they help...

3 of 3: BTW, Most of these pics were lifted from the HAMB. I'm grateful to the owners/builders who unknowingly inspired me http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
