49 chevy brakes [Archive]

If I wanted to change from drums to disc on the front end what are some cheap options(working on a super tight budget)What will fit with original spindles that I might find at a pick-n-pull? Any advice would be very helpful. The car is a 49 chevy buisness coupe,front end re-done just need brakes.

Cool stuff on that site. Good price on the product too. I wonder what can be substituted or what brake assy. that they use instead of buying the whole kit. Kev, Arlo has the rebuild kits for those wheel cylinders, we can turn the rotors and we'll be able to find the brakes as well. Give me a call tomorrow and bring me your guage so I can start working on that.

You can order just the caliper bracket and spindle adapter and they will tell you all the other parts you need.
