After working on the 27 tub for 24 years it was really gratifing to hear it fire. It won't suck up gas but will run while I dribble it in the carb so I will pick up an electric fuel pump in the morning. Got the brakes working earlier this week. Had a friend help with the lines years ago and man what a chore fixing the leaks. Replaced a few lines and tightened the bezeesus out of some of the other fittings. They work now. I have 11 days to finish putting it together for my daughter's wedding on the coast. I have to leave here a week Monday to make the wedding on the 24 th. Tomorrow I will finish the bodywork and filler the front fenders and headlites and doors and back panel. Next week is final assembly and shakedown. Man, I am getting excited. I will post a pic of the old girl finished next week. Nutz.

George, I parted out the 57 Pontiac in May when I was on the coast. I cut it up right at the auto wrecker. Turns out it was rarer than my sedan delivery. It was a sedan delivery as well with factory windows. So in fact was a 2-door wagon with a sedan delivery gate. The serial tag says it was a delivery. So that makes 8 of them I know about. A friend says there is one in Minot, ND. So now I know of 9 deliveries out of 682 built. Only 6 of them are buildable. My thrash is coming good on the T. I should have it done by the wedding. My daughter says she wants to use it for the wedding car, but really doesn't want to ride in it on a trailer. She is 30 this summer and was 6 when I started it. I have built lots of cars over that time period, but never finished this one. Glad I kept it though. I still like it. Nutz.

this is a real boost for all us procrastinators on the board
I'm only 6 years into my quickie (49 Pontiac) and 12 into my long term (48 Hemi) But I do have a couple that have been on the back burner fo 29-30 years
I'd sell them except "I'm gonna build them someday" lol http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Shiny, I will be spending a couple of weeks on the coast after the wedding. One week on the lower mainland and maybe one week in the Okanagan. I will need a holiday after this thrash. I want to hit the Nostalgia drags for a day in Mission while I am there. August long weekend. I have painted a car the nite before an event, assembled it during the nite and left in the morning so this is nothing new to me. Nutz

Manyoldcars, the tank is new and the car hasn't been fired until last nite. The electric fuel pump today did the trick. Runs as good as a chevy ll 4 banger can. Nutz

I gotta buddy here in town with a Canadian 57 pontiac delivery. It's in really nice shape with a 6 cylinder, 3 speed. He's installing a '57, 283 with the Canadian "Pontiac" lettered valve covers.
What engine/trans do you run in your tub?

Rocky., I included the 57 you told me about in Nebraska in my count of 57 Pontiac sedan deliveries. 9 so far. One is built and in Australia. The one I parted on the west coast in May was a V-8. Mine was a 6 standard. My T tub runs a 65 chevy ll 4-banger out of a 65 chevy van. Backing that is a turbo 350. Worked on it all day today and now if moves as well as runs. I hope to finish the bodywork and paint on the front fenders and splash aprons and headlites and bar and rear body center section this weekend. Final assembly next week. I put some of the upholstery in it tonite. Pretty exciting when you can see the end in site. I want to do my 48 coupe next winter. I need another fat fender to haul my holiday trailer. Still got the chopped A 2-door and 57 delivery to do yet too. Life is good. Nutz.
