Well, I uncovered the trunk and found some rust but no breaks or wholes. The edge around the mount indent are really "broken and frayed rust".
Should I just clean it and wait it out or see if a local body shop can do a re-inforce on it.
The mounts are fine.
Picture a 3.5 by 5 inch by 3/4 inch deep indent in the trunk. The 1 inch square welded nut is welded to the indent and the mounts come from the frame.
Any thoughts??
