hello everybody i,m new on here. i drive a 52 chevy coupe but just picked up a '55 235 and i,m looking into overdrive tranny ideas. so far i,ve found an adapter for an automatic and a few articles on T5 swaps anyone got any ideas? switching to open driveline is a given, i,ve read that a 84 firebird t5 will bolt to my bellhousing with minimal effort but other t5 trannys such as s10 models the in put shaft is to long and has to be shortend any help would be great thanks

Welcome aboard.

I have a saginaw 4-speed behind my 235 its been a few years, but it seems like it just bolted in. Not sure about the T5. Stovebolt has some articles on this swap http://www.stovebolt.com/techtips/t5tranny.htm

I drove a 52 Deluxe for a couple of years as my daily. Fun car.
