I bought this grill at a swap meet, the seller didnt know what it was from, but I couldnt resist, Anyone know what type of car it was original on? Has a neat winged emblem on the front and is ribbed along the bottom, no other distiguishing marks I can see.

Needs a kick-ass emblem in the square section of the wings. Something like this enamel Heatrola emblem taken off an old stove I found in the brush one day..I'm saving it for my lakes modified that I won't start collecting parts for until 2 other projects are finished...

Yeah I need to hunt down something for the center section..note to self *when doing a web search for whippet pics, be specific...whippet is also a dog that people apparently love..*

Nice shell, like the wings, may be Studebaker. If you do a Google IMAGE search for "Studebaker radiator" a link will pop up with a Studebaker logo that has the shape of the missing badge except the bottom is not flat. Will look great on a modified.

Well.. I've looked at Hupmobiles,Whippets,Studes,REO's,Pierce Arrows..can anyone think of any more it might be? I did notice the 30"s dodge bros badge had wings similar to those stamped in the grill but cant find any close ups 20's-30's grills to be sure.
Just want to add how much I appreciate your help with this, and your humor..keeps me from tossing the comp out the window.

That's funny Donzie, my dad had a hand built sports roadster in the late 60's called the URN8. He made emblems & all. I think the car ended up at the scrapyard, I'll post a picture if I can find one to scan. WWS
