I ask you ,how the heck do you keep from blowing out power valves,on a holley? It seems like a monthy ritual, change out the damn things. Yes,one little backfire, and they'er gone!!When I was racing,I just plugged them off, and went fat on the jets. For street driving,I don't think this is the answer, either. Anyone?? Thanks, Glenn

Shameless spam I know
Call summit raceing and buy a powervalve protector kit.
They run about 7-9 bucks and you get enough to do two carbs.
You will have to borrow a drill press.
PM me for the number.

Thanks. Timing's ok. Could be the accelerator pump shot is a little lean. I found the p.v. proctor kit in speedy bill's catalog. Does anybody want a bucketfull of old powervalves?(I save everything) Thanks,Glenn
