what the hell do you do when your door latch quits on ya when you close the door. I was installing the new latches in the poncho and right when i got everything pretty much lined up and closed the door.....it won't open again! I got in the car and kicked the shit outta it from the inside, pryed on it a bit, but the door didn't budge. The release mechanism ain't workin' the least little bit. NOt only is it yet another setback, but i just bought this damn kit and the latch only works until i install it!

What kinda car do you have? On most old Fords, I use a prybar to spread the gap between door and post. Kinda scary when you think it could flex that much in a wreck and dump you in the road.

it's a 60 poncho more door hardtop. It has bear claw latches now instead of the stock ones though.

Try loosening the pin that the bear claw latches grab onto. We had a bear claw latch once that wouldn't open by the solenoid, so we loosened the nut holding the pin onto the door frame. The pin ,now loosened, centered itself in the bear claw latch, unjamming the latches. Worth a try.
