Not wheel spacers, but the little ring that fits just inside the lugs to make everything fit right. I don't have a lathe - much less the time to chuck some 4" pipe up and cut them myself. Wasn't there an outfit selling them for around ten bucks a set?

Do you have the dimensions on them? It seems like Smokey posted the info many moons ago.
If you can get me the dimensions I will knock some out and mail them to you. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

THANKS. I'll GET the dimentions. I think Rocky knows them too. I'll find out though. Headed home right now.
Smokey did the tech post. I do think Rockeriffic kept the info.

I didn't keep the specs writ down but I remember they were like 0.088" thick. Lemme look for the ones Smokey whipped up for me. I never used 'em and IF I can find 'em, I'll charge you exactly what he charged me for them.

Kevin.......I found the bastiges in that secret box of the really good stuff hidden under my computer desk. Shoot me your address and I'll ship 'em. I'd charge you but you've done me a good turn or two already.
Tardel does make and sell the spacers, sixty bucks for a set of four. That's probably a bit spendy for you guys with lathes, plasma cutters, and the correct dimensions. But, if you don't have the equipment and good information, Vern's price is a helluva deal.

Snyder's Antique Auto Parts lists a set of four foe $16.95, part number is A-2000, phone number is 888-262-5712. Be sure to ask for a free parts catalog.

The rings allow the Ford wire wheels to sit properly on the 39-48 drums and allow you to tighten the lugs and not stress crack things.

M/T Car Products (530-872-0122)also makes the rings. Don't know how much they are. They also make a thin spacer with the ring for added clearance for repo 40 drums. email at mtcar@c-zone.net
To add to how they work: See those bumps outside the lug holes? The rings add a similar size bump on the inside so everything pulls up square on a flat (40-48) hub. The 32-35 hubs (that the wires were designed to fit) have the humps already built into the hub face.
