I would keep yours. In my opinion, there are a few things to change on the trade. Your rod is pretty cool....

painted bumpers dont bother me, i'll chrome them, along with the upper grille shell, the chevy grille ends, and the trunk latches....and prolly 55 chevy side trim.
Do not trade that Model A. My opinion.

Did you build/design yours?
How do you feel about driving someone elses build? Some guys don't.

HR29, I've been down your road. It's not which is the better car, it's which car is better for you.
I had a '29 tub on '32 rails that I sold last winter and everyone (including my wife, but she's speaking to me again now) thought I was crazy. It was a cool traditional hot rod that turned a lot of heads but I was looking for something different. I bought a '48 Ford coupe. Nice driver, V8, auto but still not really what I wanted. Then one day recently, someone smiled down on me and I was offered a '49 Chevy Fleetline. I've always loved the looks of these cars and it was a nice, done, mild custom, driver. Just what the doctor ordered.
There's things that I want to change to suit my own taste but I can do that as I drive it....and I do drive it.
I really like THIS car!
Do what you think will make YOU happy.

If you have to ask, you probably already know the answer.

I think the fact that you're asking for input from this group indicates you're not 100% sure about making the trade.
Unless/until you're 100% that it's what you want to do, don't do it.

Why would somebody finish paint a car with that big gap above the grill? One more day of work and that would have been SO much better looking.
Keep your A, how many other things on the pink car were done halfway?

http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gifDON'T TRADE YOUR 32 FOR THAT 50! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif The minute you do, you will regret it. 32 Fords like yours are something very special and you could not replace it for $19K. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif That 50 is nothing special. You can find them all day long. And, who the heck wants a 50 Ford with a 318 in it. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif You will own it for a long time if you trade. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif Don't trade.

Some one was telling me about 50' merc tail light bolting right up to the fenders. I was hoping that pink 50 Ford had them so I could get a look.
The flip front would be nice, as often as I'm under the hood. I usually just unbolt the whole front clip and drag it off. I've done it so often, I can do it by myself. On and off. With hood still on.
Any questions, give me a shout. Might be able to add 2 cents, for what ever that's worth.
