I know theres a formula for coil springs, thats length, dia,thickness of coilwire X number of coils or something like that, Does anyone have the formula?

I saw this post on the run and haven't seen the formula lately, but there is a vaiable-constant (not contradictive here) in the formula I saw and used,depending on the type material used in the spring wire. I ran the formula through on a couple springs and then checked them in my spring rater and the results were very close....so I'd say it can work out fairly well.
