Well, I bought this T-bird from SwitchBladeTeeth here on the HAMB for $2500, and went to go get it this weekend. He's in Orlando, I'm in Dallas. The trip down there was pretty uneventful, except we stopped at the Don Garlits museum which was worth the drive down there itself. once there we got our tow dolly from u-haul (capacity 3900 lbs. the bird weighs around 4200 http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif) and then went and got the bird from Justin, everything went down as planned. That night (the 4th) we went over to Nads for some food and fireworks. Met Nads and Draglinks for the first time. I always thought Draglinks would look more like Joe Dirt, oh well http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Anyways, had alot of fun there, made new friends, torched Nads lawn, dodged stray fireworks, and ate some damn good chicken. Next morning went to leave at about 7-ish only to find a flat tire on the bird.

replaced that with spare and started off down the road, no more than 3 miles later noticed the other back tire was bouncing alot and lookd a little low on air, so by the time we pull off the road its on the rim, to cans of fix-a-flat got it good enough to get us across the street from a tire place. So I had to run across this huge busy street (Kirkman for you locals) carrying a flat tire, it was an adventure alright. Heres the fix in progress

And the damage, gotta love dry-rot, check out the remains of the steel belt

Not long after that gets fixed up the idler pulley on the suburban starts wailing, so a quick stop at an autoparts store and another roadside repair gets us going

All this and we haven't even left Orlando!!
After that it was all smooth sailing, and the suburban hit 100,000 miles! 3 trips to the west coast and 2 to the east.

And a special thanks to Draglinks for helping me make plans for the weekend, and Nads for letting being a great host, and of course SwitchBladeTeeth for selling it too me. But none of this would have happened without the HAMB, thanks Ryan.
