Vintage Drag Trophies

One is from early San Fernando Drags..., and the other was the first annual Hot Rod drags at Riverside!

I tried posting some photo's of Vintage drag racing trophy's from my email. But I couldn't make it work!!!

Awesome!!! We kept some of my dads old trophies, but should have kept more. Stuff from Fremont, Half Moon Bay, Vacaville, Lodi etc. I think he said you could trade like 5 trophies for one of the wool jackets way back when. And damn skippy we kept those!

Last year they gave out timing tags to those who were there.
No trophys, everyone who can make it there is a winner!

I was a loser... Couldn't get the time off.

I have tons of em somewhere....dad has some really cool ones in storage. I'm building a case in the new shop to showcase em all.

Here is a few from the Pacific Northwest..the first is "Mason County Drags" "1ST Place Class B" "July 20 1952"
This is a rare trophy as Mason County Drags was soon changed to "SHELTON DRAGS"

This next one is the following year with the name change,"SHELTON F CLASS 1ST 5-3-53"

Next is from another local dragstrip which sadly is no longer running. "LABOR DAY FUEL & GAS CHAMPIONSHIP 1965 PUYALLUP DRAGWAY"
