OK, I am under the impression that all '40 Ford windshields are stationary, that is, they don't swing out. Are all '40 models this way? What about '39's and '38's and '37's? This relates to passenger cars...

37,38 and 39 Windshields did or do hinge from the top. the 40's were the first year for the fixed windshield. The 40 will have the openings below the windshield for the wiper towers. The earliers models had the wipers above the windshield.
