54 poncho wheel width? tie rods?

I have a set of wheels that were on my 54 when I got it, but I decided to tighten them down on the weekend and noticed that the front ones drag on the tie rod end when they spin, NOT GOOD! Can anyone suggest what is the correct wheel width that i need to get. or is there something else wrong maybe?

sounds like the wrong offset on the wheels. you just need to find a set withe the center mounting surface a little closer to the back edge of the rim by about 3/8 to 1/2 inch. as temporary fix you could use a wheel spacer.
