This is the former record holder for street-driven flatheads in the UK, Jim Turnbull. He was running consistent 13's all weekend, but couldn't match the 12.9 from the little T.

A 1912 Mercer. The owner drove this car to the event. He managed to put one run in but had mechanical problems.

Artiki, Thanks for posting the photos, I didn't know there was a Mercer Raceabout in England. For those that may not know that is THE FINEST brass era sports/racing car built in the USA, with a long list of racing victories, they ran in the Indy 500 several times.

That's it...a Raceabout....I couldn't think of the proper name.
Apparently it was owned by the same family that owns the Charles Bang flathead rail that I posted some pictures of elsewhere. It suffered a sheared bolthead mid-track which holed the transmission and therefore was only able to run a 26 second quarter, it usually runs high teens.

Yeah, this is 'Jap' Chris's coup'. The Guy also has a '56 Ford stationed here in England and (Lucky Bleeder!), a '27 T roadster over in Japan were he lives. All three sport 'Y' block engines too.
