Time to stop Fucking around, engines been in the truck for over 5 years now,I have set a goal for myself to fire the Caddy up in the Jimmy by the end of this week... All I need to do is mount my 15 gallon Moon Tank, electric fuel pump w/toggle switch, route the fuel line,Mount the battery, throw a belt on it,put oil and water in it,prime the oil pump and I'm ready to go!!after thats done to the exhaust shop it goes for mufflers and cut outs..It always sounds easier than it is..So this ought to be interesting..Its A Fuckin Quest!!!

Day 1:Uncovered the truck rolled it out of the driveway and into the street, went to storage grabbed my Moon Tank, and some tools, went to the parts store and spent $300 on parts and more tools.shit I forgot a few things,I'll have to go back tomorrow. Its about 90 degrees out,Put the brackets on the
Moon Tank and brass fittings,Ordered the Moroso 3/8" aluminum fuel line,Got the new battery tray mounted in place, made a steel line for the vaccuum advance,Installed the belt, ran the battery cables, hooked them up,,put oil in the tranny....Now I'm Gonna go back out and bleed the clutch slave cylinder...

The no power problem was a connector that popped out of the quick disconnect harness at the firewall... I had no spark either ...checked out the points on the new distributor and they were fried!! ha??!! Well dummy me forgot the Ballast Resistor!! OOps!! installed new points and a resistor and she gets mad spark! Like I said the fuel pump goes in now!!

funny story..5 years ago I had my truck at a body shop where my ex wife used to work, well the bench seat from the truck was removed there and they had it in there break room at last I seen this was in 1999.I just called there and they still are using it in the break room..he said that guys fight over who gets to sit in it because its comfortable as hell.!1 hahaha! I hated to tell them I was coming to get it back!! I'm glad its still there it had new upholstery on it...those bench seats arent cheap to replace!!

Ran into some snags of course, first was the fuel pump wasnt grounded right,I also noticed the only gauge working is the voltmeter,so I need to figure out whats up there, anyways I put gas in it,found two leaks one at the fuel filter canister(stock cartridge type on frame rail) the other was at the fuel block plug. The battery is drained, which I dont know if something is draining the battery or it was just low from the store. Its on a charger now...So It will be tomorrow before I can get at it again....I knew there would be alot of little shit to mess with, always is..Brings back memories of firing up the 327 in my old 57 Chevy when I was a mere pup of 21!! I cant move under the car like I did then, just a tad slower.. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
