just what i needed,ANOTHER project.but the price was right
gonna try to get it started and tagged like it is,cleaning the tank and going through the carb...then we'll get to work on it's stance and stuff.it's gonna be for delaware melanie http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
i don't know alot about these cars,so any input would be helpful...it needs some patches on the floors and has a couple of dents, but no real body cancer.the interior is shot....how do i know what six cylinder is in it?....i'm sure it will snowball just like all the rest of my projects

It's definately a 235. If it's the original drivetrain & it's standard shift, it has a babbit pounder splash lubed 235. If it's got a powerglide it's a pressure lubed 235. Not that either is bad so to speak, but the pressure motors last alot longer at highway speeds.

Mine didn't start much different than yours...not as much surface rust though http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hey Del, I love your garage. The sk8 decks just add to the hot rod motif. There was a deck with a hopping 64 impala years back that I wanted to find, but alas too little too late. Great find on the chebby.

you're talking about a danny way skateboard http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Not trying to bust your balls but I think it was Julian Stranger, as a matter of fact I still have the shirt and the deck. Of course I don't use rails so the decks graphics are long gone...

you might be right, the one i'm thinking of has charactures of all of them standing next to the car
There was also a '64 Impala on Ricky Winsor's Slander model, got one of those as well....

That's the one zman! I vaguely remember it being Julian Stranger. You guys know where I can find one? I don't wanna pirate yer post, but I think it's kool we've stayed true to the "original" 4 wheels we started out on.
