And finally a couple of cookie cutter engine shots. Some work to do up here too, engine sits a little low gonna bring it up for road/steering column clearance.

Looking real good. I like those tall T coupes, they make awesome hot rods.

.....I recognize where you are now! On the north side of Harvester Rd. near the Mazda dealer right? Is that the body shop where you keep the T?
That looks real good. Whats the measurement between the bottom of your frame rails and the pavement? I'm building a '27 T coupe right now and am trying to get a feel for how it will look all assembled (the frame and chassis components are in peices right now). and how much clearance do you have between your oil pan and the road at that height?
I would appreciate the help!
thanks, rjb
Oh and where did you find thta replacement decklid, I've been lookin around and haven't had much luck.
thanks again, rjb

Thanks for the positive feedback guys, I'm working within a budget(aren't we all) and just trying to win little battles everyweek to keep it moving.
36couper.....actually, speers rd in oakville north side. yep, thats my shop. Stop by anytime, Usually in from 9 till 6 or so.
rjb.... I'll take some measurements for you on monday and post 'em here. Oil pan clearance is WAY too low right now, I have a hurst mount resting on frame brackets welded to the A frame which is too low. I will be moving it up about 3 inches to keep my scrub in line.

Thanks again, guys. Yeah feels pretty good the first time it rolls on its own.
As for the chop, I took four off the top. I thought it gave it just enough character without being over done.
The rear window was the most work as I didn't want a mail slot. The rear panel was done in three cuts, Two inches from the window and an inch above and below it. I should have some pictures around here somewhere of the chop, I'll try to find and scan them on here soon.

rjb. Pulled out the tape measure today for you, here's some numbers:
bottom of front cross member to ground- 8 3/4
frame @ front of cowl to ground- 10 3/4
bottom of rear pan to ground- 17 1/2
Like I told you, I'm making new mounts for the engine right now to increase my clearance so I couldn't give you an accurate number on that but its pretty easy to configure.
If you need anything else or more pics for mounting just ask.
Harrison- I have the peices I took out of my doors for you.
PM'd ya. I E-mail you a pic( don't think everyone needs a pic of left over chop-stuff).
Told ya I keep everything!! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Nice 't'! What did you use for the roof? Please post your rear window chop pics. I want to chop my 't' but don't want a mailslot either. Visual aids always help. Thanks -stick

i like it..only thing i'd do to it is chop it and maybe channel it some...and possibly add some tail lights, like 51 pontiac or somethin...here's my attempt

Hey give me back my profile!!! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I gave my self black eyes beating myself up over the chop and not channeling. I like channelled cars but the wheel well opening on the t just begs to be filled not covered.
As for the chop, yeah 9 of the top would be trendy/evil but I wanted timeless. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Sorry bumpy missed your question.
Good 'ol minivan my friend. GMC Safari. I wanted ribs and a bit of roll for the visor, working pretty good so far..
Shit, I'm giving away all my tricks...and I don't have many.
Thanks again guys, I pulled the motor out today to rebuild her, I'll post more pics real soon, the balls rolling now!!

I really like the front shot with the '32 hedlights. I don't think anyone has done that before. You're using a pre 1923 (low) radiator, correct?
