I am still looking for one...does anyone know if I could just buy an outer skin and brace the back of it? It will not really be opened and closed. They are $165 from Brookville, and used complete decklids are going for at least $400 on eBay! Just a thought...

I'd advise you to buy a new one from Brookville.

Just buy the skin and make a conduit frame for it.
1/2 inch conduit will work just fine and its easy to work with. You can rent a bender at any of those rental places cheap for a day.
I've had pretty good luck with conduit frames and say .031 aluminum. Especially if your not going to open it often. And you can tell everyone its raceing stuff that way.
After you get the frame built to the right shape you bend a couple of right angles in the aluminum so it will lay over the sides of the frame then cut pie cuts in the lip you bent so you can bend it over the radius. The ben a little and rivit it to the frame as you go.
When you get to the top and bottom end just take a body hammer and slowly tap it over the ends and rivit ti down when you're done.
Ooops too much info right?
