hey guys.
im from nor-cal. not to be confused with the bay area.
i live up where redneck old iron is a dailly driver for a LOT of people and 'patina' just means you let teh rain wash your car for the last 50 years...

lucky for me my dad has 120 acres to store cause wife says only the runners are in our driveway.

69 sportvan -grammie bought new...

and in my mind-and my wifes insistant dreams-a 50 chevy 4 door suburban slightly lowered with 4BT/700R4/231/dana 44's.

Hey CCPanel, I'm restoring a 1950 Chevy Panel. I put the body on a '74 suburban chassis but I think I need to move the body mounts. I don't like how the tires sit in the rear fenders. Can you tell me where the center of your rear axle sits in relation to the rear fenders? Any info you can get me would be appreciated.

mine sit a little to the rear. you can look at my webpage for pics;
http://customclassics.org but it kinda sits forward like that too. when mine is lowered it slides back but if it is too far back iniitially when spring compresses and if you lower it a lot-it could run into fender clearance issues.
if you want exact measurements give me some sort of reference point you want me to measure from. my rear fenders are cannon fodder so give me a body or frame mount reference point. also-just use the factory dimensions for wheelbase-that will make it look more 'right' 116"
