Inliners I need some help here... I have a set of Fenton headers for my 52 coupe, which has a side mount motor. It looks like the front header is going to foul the motor mount, I know I've seen these headers on cars with the side motor mounts my question is are there two different styles of Fenton header? Seems to me that at one time I had heard there were headers for "early" cars which differed from later headers??? Any help or input here would be appreciated and if anyone has a set that would fit my car you wanna trade? Thanks....

Are they new? My book only shows one type.

I think they are older ones not newly cast ones. The front header exits straight down not back at a slight angle, which I think would be needed to clear the motor mount.

Fenton made a couple styles. Sounds like the set you have is the '48 and earlier with the front outlet straight down. The later style, which is the same as the current repops, exits at an angle which is what you need.

Kev: You are always full of good ideas. Maybe I'll run it with no hood and the headers upsidedown! Thanks for the tips guys.

Yorg glad you got the MC, I'm not to worried about the Fentons just yet I need to finish tuning the car up and fixing the vacuum control issues with it.
