your car is shit and you should have it crushed....I'll come pick it up for you and take it away.
that car rules. I think a vanilla/cream color with a hint of voilet and those rims would be slick.
man I can't wait to finish college so I can afford and have time/space for something like that....although maybe I can run a little 110 mig in my dorm room.....then the only prob is fitting it out the door

Hi,
Nice car , wires are under rated here , everyone wants '40 Ford steels.
Can you tell me how much you have chopped her please?
We have got to chop a car for a Customer , he doesnt know how much to take out , so reference pics will help.
If anyone else has chopped 30/31 Coupe pics and knows how much they removed , I'd appreciate that also...THANKYOU
Looking good, Dave.
Just a couple of observations-One. The distributor is on the wrong end and not nearly high evough(should be on the rear of manifold, just to the right of center)
Two, The valve covers are missing> http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Cool car, nice look. I'm jealous.
One observation, though.
It looks like the rear track is too wide for the body.
Most have the rear tires tucked a little closer to the body.
Or is it an optical illusion?

Just to answer a few questions: Its chopped 4" & channeled the width of frame. Zd 4" front & rear.Yes, the rear track is a little wide cause I'm running a 10 bolt GM rear w/ wheel adapters for now.I had to use somethin GM on this car to keep one JimC happy.I'm in the process of cutting a 40 dash to fit. Also, it has Vega steering. More pics after Iola. Thanks for your comments, that means a lot to me.DAVE

[/ QUOTE ] WIDTH of the frame??? Any channel would have to be the width of the frame unless you have dropped the floor between the siderails. Do you mean it is channeled the heighth of the frame?

Gonna build a custom short radiator or drop one down in front of the crossmember? It's looking great so far, I like the stance and the wire wheels are perfect. Keep the pictures coming.

Not really sure on the grill configuration yet, gonna see what I can find at Iola. I really dont want to use an "A" or a 32 cause it seems thats the mainstream. I would like to find an old Oliver or Cockshut & use the big 32 style headlights. Interior is gonna be black tuck & roll. Not sure if I will ever paint it shiny, prolly just black primer sealer.DAVE
