I stumbled across this site while doing a search for a gentleman who was a part of the history of hot rodding. In reading a blog authored by Ryan, I thought it would be of interest that I own a vehicle that was bought by Guy Mabee. The car is a 1973 Pontiac Trans Am which he ordered with the rare SD455 engine option. Through word of mouth, I was able to find that at the same time he also bought a 1973 Pontiac Formula Firebird with the SD455 option and that it MAY still be in the possesion of the Mabee family.
I would like to find out more history of the man as it would add to the story of his desire to purchase these two cars.
Attached is a photo of the car in its present day.

Welcome and what a great looking TA. I dated a girl who had a 73 SD455. It only had two speeds, parked and flat out. She'd scare me to death but I was young and in love. Sorry I have no info on the person you're seeking. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Nice ride, I am redoing a 68 right now. We don't want to talk about them on here though cause they are muscle cars not (traditional) they will delete the thread. Anyway welcome.
