COOL. mang. If you posted those before, I haven't seen um.

Marcus...
You had no idea that I airbrushed T-shirts? Yep, I indeed do. As a matter of fact. I do that, paint stuff, sculpt stuff... and work on cars. Sometimes I actually make some money too.... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hey, I ain't above self promotion...

Here is the poster for THE MOST ASS KICKIN' ART SHOW to ever come to Louisville Kentucky. The show is during the LOUISVILLE NATIONALS. I know many many of you will be in town for that weekend. YOU all are invited!
Hotrodladycruser (Denise) has mentioned maybe having a HAMB meet and greet at the CINDERBLOCK. at around 9 PM on Friday AUGUST 6th.
Sounds like a winning idea to me. I would love to see all sorts of hot rods and cool rides show up. There is plenty of parking and there will be plenty of artwork to see.

Johnny Ace and Kali Vera were nice enough to create this ROCK em SOCK em poster for the show as well as agree to BE IN the show....
Barnett, Boom Boom, K-Member, Hamilton and the Swede will all have neato work in there (oh yeah, and me tooo).

Come on out on the 6th and support your local HAMB starving artist. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Here is a pic of the poster.
Check out Johnny's cool auction pinned at the top of the page.

Hopefully I'm allowed to hot link to this image.... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

See you all there!

Not really artwork, but thought some of ya's might like it. Made up from left overs of the Model a pickup/RPU kit. I only have one door on it, so people can see the interior, even though it aint properly finished.
Frame is made from the parts tree, the floor is from 48 Woody kit, the small headlights are '32 roadster street rod kit. Wide fives for wheels, split '40 bones. Chopped the living piss out of it! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Jester, (and everyone else who has encouraged me). This is a forum of our peers. Everyone is very supportive because they know what it takes to create something and then put it out for the world to see. So, hell yea! it means a lot. I played bars for 25 years and it always kinda pissed me off when musicians would set around and run down someone elses playing. It takes balls to get up on any stage and perform, and anyone who does gets my respect. Thanks from an old dog who keeps trying to learn new tricks. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

All great stuff this Friday! It just keeps getting better......
This week has been really hectic and it ain't over yet;I still have a 34 Chevy coupe and a Deuce 3-window to do tomorrow.
Started off the week doing a 1956 ChrisCraft runabout;then 3 sets of tanks and fenders for H-D's,threw in a CJ7 yesterday and finished up today doing a 36 Rolls-Royce 20/25(that still has the original paint and interior)and a new Saturn.
Got pics of the boat(it was done in my shop)but the rest were,"road jobs".I'll throw in a couple older pics(probably posted em before but I'm not thinkin' too clear right now).
The first pic is not a job I did but one I liked very much. The painter was John Silva from Salem Massachusetts(a very talented hot rod and custom designer)who passed away several years ago and whom I considered a very good friend. The car belonged to Bob Ellison who just passed away last Friday from injuries sustained in a racing accident. The Merc has a blown 351 Cleveland motor and goes as well as it looks.Just a remembrance of two good friends.

haven't done any striping in a long time. Hadn't mentioned it but I had an accident in my '55 F100 a while back. Was working on the chassis this week and had one of the crossmembers out to straighten. So why not some lines that few will ever see. Sorry about the blurry shots. Nice touch on the caps FL!I was digging through my shop and came up with a piece that a friend of mine in Ohio did for me.Basically an old cast iron fry pan with a bondo egg and lettering and striping.Lee Hulick aka Vance did the deed.
The next pic is something that I just found today. They are having a huge garage sale at the airport across from my house and I stopped in to see this guy about some minibike parts. And there they were!
The pic isn't too great but basically what they are is clear plastic forms to display women's clothing that have built-in hooks in the top.I bought 14 of them for two bucks!
I can visualize reverse painting them (maybe with Candies)and then striping the front.Should make a good panel jam item. The pic shows them all together.

Well, Artwork its definatly not. I did this for someone some weeks a go. My part of the job is the car and the smoke; the lettering is someone elses photoshopwork. And before anyone asks; no, the choice of car is not what I would prefere.

Gotta say that photo of the Lancia Stratos rocks!
